Hello All
Hello All. Welcome to our travel blog. This is all very new to us, so please bear with us as we get it figured out.
The purpose of this blog is to let you know where we’re at, and what we’re up to. As time and internet access allow, we’ll try to update the blog regularly. We’d also like to hear from you, so don’t be shy about sending us your comments.

Hi Cath & Gord. I hope you have a great trip. This is a test to make sure that comments on your new blog work.

Hi!
I’m very impressed! I’ve been meaning to thank you, Gord, for your info re: Catkins. I believe we do have them on willow trees. A friend here has promised to show me some. Also, we call Q-tips cotton buds. Nothing personal… but that seems to make more sense to me!! I’m glad you and I know what we’re talking about. Hopefully it will give other readers something to think about (or not). A beautiful 23 C here. We’ve even had some rain and I had to put a long sleeve T shirt on last night. Winter is not far away! Say hi to Cath and I hope you’re having a great time enjoying the warmth in Laos.
Cheers,
Lisa

just so you don’t slip too easily into a southeast asian life of bliss here are some notes to connect you again with the rest of the world:1. i had my first cup of friday evening coffee at mrs.p’s in the coop mall with the aquafit ladies!!! 2. my toyota is parked and waits for mike m to come back from zimbabwe to give me an idea if it is worth reviving 3. five more people kidnapped in afghanistan, 2 french and 3 afghan 4. i know now the exact figure on what was paid for clementina’ s release in 2005= 2 mill us $ – please stay out of trouble in laos – the can. government may not be willing to pay that much for its citizens 5. i applied for the job in nepal and if i get it i will come and visit with you 6. i am leaving for my road trip to bamfield iwith jillian in a few days and will stop at the vinyard in kelowna 7. i tried last night to be pleasantly canadian and invited my neighbour eric to come up for a cup of tea. his immidiate answer was a very nervous “why” and now he has not showed up
so much for life in pincher
how is laos? how is your house? how is nin? how is the boyfriend?
garry’s message is a bit worrisome. do you have your money and passports???
